The Hunting knife âNalleâ, UHC is an exclusive version of our classic Hunting knife, combining Roselliâs proven hunting design with distinctive Finnish natural materials and craftsmanship. Originally developed for moose hunters in Finland, the Hunting knife has become a trusted companion for processing larger game such as moose, wild boar and deer.
The 105 mm blade is shaped to provide excellent control when skinning and processing game. Its size offers a practical balance between reach and precision, making it particularly well suited to hunters who need a dependable knife for working with larger game.
The blade is made from Roselliâs own Ultra High Carbon (UHC) steel, developed for exceptional sharpness and outstanding edge retention. With a hardness of around 64 HRC, UHC steel is considerably harder than conventional knife steels and allows the blade to retain its sharp edge for a very long time.
This exceptional hardness also means the blade should be used as a precision cutting tool. UHC steel performs best with controlled, gliding cuts. Avoid twisting the blade or striking bone and other very hard materials to protect the fine edge.
The handle is crafted from stained Finnish curly birch and decorated with natural reindeer antler. Treated with linseed oil, it provides a comfortable and secure grip, even when wet. The natural materials also give each knife its own individual pattern and character.
Nalle comes with a handcrafted sheath combining dark, vegetable-tanned Finnish leather with stained curly birch. Together with the reindeer antler details, it gives this version of the Hunting knife its distinctive appearance.
Each Hunting knife âNalleâ, UHC is crafted, sharpened and perfected by hand in Harmoinen, Finland, in collaboration with knifemaker Kari Ohtonen. Natural variations in the wood and reindeer antler mean that every knife is unique.
