The Roselli Carpenter knife, UHC is a compact outdoor and carving knife inspired by traditional Finnish woodworking knives. Its 85 mm blade makes it easy to control and comfortable to carry, whether you are carving wood, preparing kindling or taking care of everyday tasks around camp.
The slightly curved blade is particularly well suited to controlled carving and woodworking, while remaining versatile enough for a wide range of outdoor tasks. Its compact size also makes it a practical choice for hunters working with smaller game.
At the heart of the knife is Roselli’s own Ultra High Carbon (UHC) steel, developed for exceptional sharpness and outstanding edge retention. Hardened to approximately 64 HRC, the blade takes an exceptionally keen edge and holds it through demanding, precise cutting, meaning more time working with a sharp knife and less time resharpening.
The handle is crafted from curly birch and treated with linseed oil for a secure and comfortable grip, even in wet or cold conditions. Its shape gives excellent control when carving and working with the tip of the blade, while the natural grain of the wood makes every handle unique.
Each knife is crafted, sharpened and finished by hand in Harmoinen, Finland. It comes with a handcrafted sheath made from dark, vegetable-tanned Finnish leather for secure carry and long-term use.
Roselli UHC steel is optimized for exceptional sharpness and long-lasting edge retention. Like any high-hardness knife steel, it performs best in controlled cutting and carving rather than striking against bone or other very hard materials. Use it for what it was designed to do, and the remarkably sharp edge will stay with you for a long time.
